Cybersecurity is not a one-time task solved by buying a single tool. Start by knowing which accounts, devices, data and external services the business relies on. Priorities cannot be set well until assets, owners and critical workflows are identified.

Put baseline controls in place: multi-factor authentication, least-privilege access, current software, restorable backups and a trusted channel for staff reports. Review vendor access and API keys too; remove unused permissions and never store credentials in source code.

Write down who decides during an incident, which systems may need isolation and how records are preserved. Rehearse recovery from backup and the communication plan periodically. DETA’s cybersecurity scope is defined with the business’s technical needs and risk assessment; this article is not a legal-compliance guarantee.
